1. Fahrzeuge

•    Ist im The Bus DLC – London South ein Bus enthalten?
Nein. Fahrzeuge und Karten werden bei The Bus grundsätzlich getrennt angeboten. 
Das The Bus DLC – London South enthält daher keinen eigenen Bus.
Im Hauptspiel sind Rechtslenkerversionen des e-Citybus enthalten mit der sich das DLC - London South befahren lässt.

•    Welche Busse können auf den Londoner Linien eingesetzt werden?
Für den Einsatz in London sind weitere passende Busse mit Rechtslenkung vorgesehen. Entsprechende Fahrzeuge sollen zum Release von London South zur Verfügung stehen.

•    Wird es passende Busse als separate DLCs geben?
Passend zur Veröffentlichung von London South sind weitere Busse als separate DLCs geplant. Für konkrete Informationen zu den Fahrzeugen ist es aktuell allerdings noch zu früh. Weitere Details folgen zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt.

•    Ist ein Bundle aus London South und einem passenden Bus-DLC geplant?
Ein Steam-Bundle aus dem The Bus DLC – London South und einem passenden Bus-DLC ist wahrscheinlich. Konkrete Informationen hierzu können wir derzeit noch nicht bekannt geben.

•    Wird es auch kostenlose Busse geben?
Auch in der Community befinden sich passende Freeware-Busse für The Bus in Entwicklung. Wir gehen daher davon aus, dass es künftig auch kostenlose Fahrzeuge geben wird, die sich für den Einsatz in London eignen. Welche davon bereits rund um die Veröffentlichung von London South verfügbar sein werden, lässt sich zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch nicht abschätzen. 

2. Linien und Umfang
•    Welche Linien sind im DLC enthalten?
Zum Release sind zwei Linien vollständig befahrbar. Die Linie 2 verbindet Marylebone mit West Norwood und hat eine Streckenlänge von rund 12 Kilometern (7,5 Meilen). Hinzu kommt die ehemalige Linie 507 zwischen Waterloo und Victoria mit rund 3,7 Kilometern (2,3 Meilen).
Darüber hinaus werden Abschnitte der Linien 77, 88, 148 und 196 sowie der Nachtlinie N2 umgesetzt.
Insgesamt umfasst London South mehr als 16 Kilometer (10 Meilen) detailreich nachgebildetes Straßennetz in Süd- und Zentrallondon.

•    Werden die Teillinien später vervollständigt und sind zusätzliche Linien geplant?
Nach der Veröffentlichung soll London South durch kostenlose Updates weiter ausgebaut werden. Welche der teilweise umgesetzten Linien dabei erweitert, vervollständigt oder welche Linien dazu kommen, können wir zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch nicht sagen.
Sobald es hierzu konkrete Informationen gibt, werden wir diese bekannt geben.

•    Welche Sehenswürdigkeiten und bekannten Orte werden umgesetzt?
Das Streckennetz führt durch bekannte Bereiche von Süd- und Zentrallondon, darunter Westminster, Lambeth, Brixton und Vauxhall.
Entlang der Strecken werden zahlreiche bekannte Wahrzeichen und Orte umgesetzt. Dazu gehören unter anderem Big Ben und der Palace of Westminster, das London Eye, die Westminster Bridge und der Marble Arch.
Auch wichtige Verkehrsknotenpunkte wie London Marylebone, London Victoria und London Waterloo sind Teil des DLCs. 

•    Welchen Zeitraum bzw. welches Jahr bildet das DLC ab?
Das DLC London South ist nicht auf ein bestimmtes Jahr festgelegt, sondern bildet London allgemein in den 2020er-Jahren ab. Dieser flexible Zeitraum ermöglicht es, ehemalige Linien wie die 507 mit aktuellen Veränderungen im Londoner Straßennetz zu kombinieren.

3. London und britischer Straßenverkehr
•    Wird in London im Linksverkehr gefahren?
Ja, selbstverständlich. Im The Bus DLC – London South wird entsprechend dem britischen Vorbild im Linksverkehr gefahren. Auch die Verkehrsführung wird darauf abgestimmt.

•    Werden die Straßen und Kreuzungen an die Besonderheiten des britischen Verkehrs angepasst?
Straßen, Kreuzungen und Verkehrsführungen werden speziell für London umgesetzt und berücksichtigen die Besonderheiten des britischen Straßenverkehrs. Das betrifft beispielsweise Straßenführungen, Fahrspuren und Markierungen.

•    Werden britische bzw. Londoner Ampeln und Verkehrszeichen umgesetzt?
Die für London benötigten Verkehrsleitsysteme, Ampeln, Straßenmarkierungen und Verkehrszeichen werden speziell für das DLC erstellt und orientieren sich an ihren realen Vorbildern.

•    Werden die Haltestellen nach dem Vorbild von Transport for London umgesetzt?
Auch die Haltestellen werden nach dem realen Vorbild von Transport for London umgesetzt. Dazu gehören die für London charakteristischen Haltestellenschilder und weitere typische Elemente der Haltestellen.

4. Wirtschaftsmodus und Betriebshöfe
•    Wird der Wirtschaftsmodus unterstützt?
Der Wirtschaftsmodus von The Bus wird auch im The Bus DLC – London South unterstützt. Damit könnt ihr in London euer eigenes Busunternehmen aufbauen und betreiben.

•    Welche Betriebshöfe sind im DLC enthalten und können für den Wirtschaftsmodus genutzt werden?
London South enthält drei authentisch nachgebildete Busbetriebshöfe in Norwood, Stockwell und Waterloo. Diese orientieren sich an ihren realen Vorbildern und sind in das Streckennetz integriert.
Zusätzlich gibt es einen fiktiven Betriebshof, der speziell für den Wirtschaftsmodus von The Bus vorgesehen ist. Von dort aus könnt ihr euren eigenen Betrieb in London aufbauen und eure Fahrzeuge einsetzen.

5. KI-Verkehr, Fahrgäste und Audio
•    Wird es spezielle KI-Fahrzeuge für London geben, 
zum Beispiel Polizei-, Rettungs- oder Stadtreinigungsfahrzeuge?
Auch der KI-Verkehr wird an London angepasst. Dazu gehören unter anderem die charakteristischen schwarzen Londoner Taxis, Krankenwagen, Stadtreinigungsfahrzeuge sowie weitere Fahrzeuge der örtlichen Einsatz- und Rettungsdienste.

•    Sind Originalansagen für die Haltestellen enthalten?
Geplant ist, die originalgetreuen „iBus“-Haltestellenansagen von Transport for London (TfL) in das DLC zu integrieren.

•    Werden die Fahrgäste in London englische Sprachsamples erhalten?
Die Fahrgäste im The Bus DLC – London South erhalten passende englische Sprachsamples und tragen damit ebenfalls zur authentischen Londoner Atmosphäre bei.

6. Veröffentlichung und Konsolen
•    Wann erscheint The Bus DLC – London South?
Einen konkreten Veröffentlichungstermin gibt es derzeit noch nicht. Die Entwicklung läuft, allerdings wird es noch einige Monate dauern, bis wir den möglichen Releasezeitraum genauer abschätzen können. Sobald es hierzu Neuigkeiten gibt, werden wir euch informieren.

•    Wird das DLC auch für PlayStation 5 und Xbox Series X|S erscheinen?
Eine Veröffentlichung des The Bus DLC – London South für PlayStation 5 und Xbox Series X|S ist fest eingeplant.

•    Ist eine zeitnahe Veröffentlichung der Konsolenversion nach der PC-Version geplant?
Die Konsolenumsetzung soll dieses Mal wesentlich schneller erfolgen.
Das The Bus DLC – Hamburg City erschien ursprünglich noch während der Early-Access-Phase von The Bus auf dem PC. Nach der Veröffentlichung der Vollversion für PlayStation 5 und Xbox Series X|S waren deshalb zunächst grundlegende technische Vorarbeiten notwendig, bevor das Hamburg-DLC auf die Konsolen gebracht werden konnte.
Diese Vorarbeiten sind inzwischen erfolgt und kommen auch zukünftigen DLCs zugute. Dadurch soll die Umsetzung von London South für PlayStation 5 und Xbox Series X|S wesentlich schneller möglich sein.

7. Weiterentwicklung und Informationen
•    Wird es für London South ebenfalls ein Entwickler-Tagebuch geben?
Das Entwickler-Tagebuch zum The Bus DLC – London South ist bereits gestartet und wird regelmäßig mit neuen Beiträgen fortgesetzt.
Dabei stellen wir euch nicht nur bekannte Sehenswürdigkeiten und besondere Orte entlang der Strecken näher vor. Wir geben auch Einblicke in die Entwicklung des DLCs und zeigen Besonderheiten, die bei der Umsetzung Londons für The Bus eine Rolle spielen.

•    Wird das DLC nach der Veröffentlichung weiterentwickelt und mit Updates versorgt?

We have also received numerous questions from the community about the upcoming The Bus DLC – London South.
Which routes are included? Which buses can be used in London? How will British road traffic be recreated, and what are the plans for the console version?
In our new FAQ, we have compiled the most important questions and answers about the current state of development and our plans for London South.

The Bus DLC – London South – FAQ

1. Vehicles
•    Is a bus included with The Bus DLC – London South?
No. Vehicles and maps for The Bus are generally offered separately. 
Therefore, The Bus DLC – London South does not include its own bus.
The base game includes right-hand-drive versions of the e-Citybus, which can be used to drive the routes included in London South.

•    Which buses can be used on the London routes?
Additional suitable right-hand-drive buses are planned for use in London. Appropriate vehicles are expected to be available by the time London South is released.

•    Will suitable buses be available as separate DLCs?
Additional buses are planned as separate DLCs to coincide with the release of London South. However, it is still too early to provide specific information about these vehicles. Further details will follow at a later date.

•    Is a bundle containing London South and a suitable bus DLC planned?
A Steam bundle combining The Bus DLC – London South with a suitable bus DLC is likely. However, we cannot provide any specific information about this at the moment.

•    Will there also be free buses?
Suitable freeware buses for The Bus are also currently being developed by members of the community. We therefore expect free vehicles suitable for use in London to become available in the future. At this stage, however, we cannot say which of these will be available around the release of London South.

2. Routes and Scope
•    Which routes are included in the DLC?
Two routes will be fully driveable at release. Route 2 connects Marylebone with West Norwood and covers approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 miles). The former Route 507 between Waterloo and Victoria, covering approximately 3.7 kilometres (2.3 miles), will also be included.
In addition, sections of Routes 77, 88, 148 and 196, as well as the N2 night route, will be recreated.
In total, London South features more than 16 kilometres (10 miles) of detailed road network across South and Central London.

•    Will the partially implemented routes be completed later, and are additional routes planned?
Following its release, London South is planned to be expanded further through free updates. At this stage, we cannot yet say which of the partially implemented routes will be extended or completed, or which additional routes may be added.
As soon as we have more specific information, we will announce it.

•    Which landmarks and well-known locations will be recreated?
The route network passes through well-known areas of South and Central London, including Westminster, Lambeth, Brixton and Vauxhall.
Numerous famous landmarks and locations will be recreated along the routes. These include Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster, the London Eye, Westminster Bridge and Marble Arch.
Major transport hubs such as London Marylebone, London Victoria and London Waterloo are also part of the DLC.

•    What time period or year does the DLC represent?
London South is not tied to one specific year. Instead, it broadly represents London during the 2020s. This flexible time period makes it possible to combine former routes such as Route 507 with more recent changes to London's road network.

3. London and British Road Traffic
•    Will we drive on the left in London?
Yes, of course. In The Bus DLC – London South, traffic drives on the left, just as it does in the UK. The road layouts and traffic flow are also designed accordingly.

•    Will roads and junctions be adapted to the specific characteristics of British road traffic?
Roads, junctions and traffic layouts are being created specifically for London and take the characteristics of British road traffic into account. This includes road layouts, traffic lanes and road markings.

•    Will British and London-specific traffic lights and road signs be included?
The traffic management systems, traffic lights, road markings and road signs required for London are being created specifically for the DLC and are based on their real-world counterparts.

•    Will the bus stops be recreated based on those of Transport for London?
The bus stops are also being recreated based on their real-world Transport for London counterparts. This includes London's distinctive bus stop signs and other typical elements found at bus stops throughout the city.

4. Economic Mode and Depots
•    Will Economic Mode be supported?
The Bus's Economic Mode will also be supported in The Bus DLC – London South. This allows you to establish and operate your own bus company in London.

•    Which depots are included in the DLC and can be used in Economic Mode?
London South includes three authentically recreated bus depots in Norwood, Stockwell and Waterloo. They are based on their real-world counterparts and integrated into the route network.
In addition, there is a fictional depot designed specifically for The Bus's Economic Mode. From there, you can establish your own operation in London and deploy your vehicles.

5. AI Traffic, Passengers and Audio
•    Will there be special AI vehicles for London, such as police, emergency or street-cleaning vehicles?
The AI traffic is also being adapted to London. This includes the city's distinctive black cabs, ambulances, street-cleaning vehicles and other vehicles used by local emergency services.

•    Will authentic bus stop announcements be included?
The plan is to integrate authentic Transport for London (TfL) “iBus” stop announcements into the DLC.

•    Will passengers in London have English voice samples?
Passengers in The Bus DLC – London South will have suitable English voice samples, further contributing to an authentic London atmosphere.

6. Release and Consoles
•    When will The Bus DLC – London South be released?
There is currently no specific release date. Development is progressing, but it will still be several months before we can provide a more accurate estimate of the possible release window. We will keep you informed as soon as there is any news.

•    Will the DLC also be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S?
A release of The Bus DLC – London South for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S is firmly planned.

•    Is the console version planned to be released soon after the PC version?
The console port is intended to be completed considerably faster this time.
