Wie geht es mit den Linien weiter, was ist mit der Konsolenversion und welche Updates sind noch geplant?

Rund um das The Bus DLC – Hamburg City erreichen uns viele Fragen aus der Community.
Hier findet ihr die wichtigsten Antworten und einen aktuellen Ausblick auf die weitere Entwicklung.

Wie geht es mit den Linien im DLC weiter?

Aktuell arbeiten wir an der Erweiterung der Linie 17, die derzeit bis zum Bramfelder Dorfplatz führt.

Der nächste Abschnitt verläuft über die Bramfelder Chaussee und Berner Chaussee bis zur Buskehre an der Haltestelle Karlshöhe.
Anschließend wird die Linie von Karlshöhe bis zur Endhaltestelle am U-Bahnhof Berne erweitert.

Nach der Fertigstellung der Linie 17 bis Berne sind zunächst keine weiteren Linienerweiterungen geplant.
Grundsätzlich schließen wir zusätzliche Strecken für die Zukunft aber nicht aus.
Es gibt noch die eine oder andere Linie, die bestehende Strecken kreuzt und sich damit gut in das vorhandene Streckennetz einfügen könnte.

Wie sieht es mit neuen Funktionen und Erweiterungen von The Bus im DLC Hamburg City aus?

Neue Möglichkeiten und Features des Hauptspiels The Bus behalten wir im Blick.

Wir prüfen, welche davon sich sinnvoll in das DLC Hamburg City integrieren lassen.
Dazu gehören zum Beispiel KI-Buslinien auf weiteren Strecken, welche die vorhandenen fahrbaren Linien kreuzen.
Sobald dieses Feature im Hauptspiel final verfügbar ist, prüfen und testen wir eine Umsetzung für Hamburg City.
Damit könnte das Verkehrsbild auf der Map noch abwechslungsreicher und realistischer werden.

Auch neue Möglichkeiten des Wirtschaftsmodus sollen künftig berücksichtigt und, soweit passend, in das DLC übernommen werden.

Sind die Updates auch für die Konsolenversion geplant?

Ja. Die kostenlosen Updates der PC-Version werden auch für die Konsolenversion umgesetzt und stehen damit allen Spielern zur Verfügung.

Für die erste Konsolenversion mussten zunächst die unterschiedlichen Entwicklungsstände aufeinander abgestimmt werden.
Bei zukünftigen Updates soll sich der zeitliche Abstand zwischen PC und Konsolen dadurch deutlich verkürzen.

Wird es künftig Hamburger Busse geben?

Der Fahrzeug-Editor schafft die Möglichkeit, neue Busmodelle für The Bus zu entwickeln.

Die Entwicklung eines solchen Fahrzeugs ist allerdings umfangreich und nimmt entsprechend Zeit in Anspruch.
Aktuell befinden sich bereits einige Busmodelle in Entwicklung. Darunter sind auch Fahrzeuge, die in Hamburg im Einsatz sind oder in der Vergangenheit dort unterwegs waren.

Weitere Informationen dazu folgen zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt.

Zukünftige Bus-DLCs sollen für PC, PlayStation 5 und Xbox Series X|S verfügbar sein.
Für ausgewählte Busmodelle möchten wir außerdem passende Hamburg-Repaints anbieten.
Ein Beispiel ist der neue Ebus 2.2. Das reale Fahrzeug gehört zwar nicht zum Hamburger Fuhrpark, kann mit dem Hochbahn-Repaint aber passend auf der Hamburg-Map eingesetzt werden.

Wichtig dabei: Karten und Busse bleiben weiterhin getrennte Inhalte.
Entsprechende Fahrzeuge erscheinen als eigenständige DLCs und sind nicht Bestandteil des The Bus DLC – Hamburg City.

Warum kann ich beim Ebus 2.2 nicht direkt ein Hamburg-Repaint auswählen?

PC-Spieler können für den zusätzlich erworbenen Ebus 2.2 bereits ein Hamburger Repaint über den Steam Workshop herunterladen.
Mit einem kommenden Update auf allen Plattformen wird das Repaint direkt integriert. 
Anschließend kann es bequem über die Bus-Konfiguration ausgewählt werden.
Dieses Update ist für alle Plattformen vorgesehen.

Warum steht die Hamburg-Map nach dem Kauf auf der Konsole nicht direkt zur Auswahl?

Für die Nutzung von DLCs benötigt die Konsolenversion von The Bus mindestens Version 1.2.
Zusammen mit dem Update des Hauptspiels kann dadurch eine größere Datenmenge heruntergeladen und installiert werden.
Abhängig von der Internetverbindung kann dieser Vorgang etwas Zeit benötigen.
Den aktuellen Download- und Installationsfortschritt könnt ihr im jeweiligen Konsolen-Dashboard überprüfen.
Sollte Hamburg City nach dem Kauf noch nicht zur Auswahl stehen, wartet bitte zunächst, bis alle Downloads und Installationen vollständig abgeschlossen sind.

The Bus DLC – Hamburg City: Your Questions, Our Answers – Update

What’s next for the routes, what about the console version, and what other updates are planned?

We receive many questions from the community about The Bus DLC – Hamburg City. Here you can find answers to the most important questions, along with an update on our plans for the further development of the DLC.

What’s next for the routes in the DLC?

We are currently working on extending route 17, which currently runs as far as Bramfelder Dorfplatz.
The next section will run along Bramfelder Chaussee and Berner Chaussee to the bus turning loop at Karlshöhe.
The route will then be extended from Karlshöhe to its terminus at Berne underground station.
Once route 17 has been completed as far as Berne, no further route extensions are initially planned. However, we are not ruling out additional routes in the future.
There are still one or two routes that cross existing routes and could therefore fit well into the current route network.

What about new features and additions from The Bus for the Hamburg City DLC?

We are keeping an eye on new possibilities and features introduced to the main game, The Bus.
We will evaluate which of these could be usefully integrated into the Hamburg City DLC.
One example is AI bus services on additional routes that cross the existing driveable routes. Once this feature is fully available in the main game, we will evaluate and test its implementation for Hamburg City.
This could make traffic on the map even more varied and realistic.
New possibilities for Economy Mode will also be considered in the future and, where appropriate, incorporated into the DLC.

Are the updates also planned for the console version?

Yes. The free updates released for the PC version will also be implemented for the console version, making them available to all players.
For the initial console release, the different development versions first had to be brought into line. For future updates, this should significantly reduce the time between the PC and console releases.

Will there be Hamburg buses in the future?

The vehicle editor makes it possible to develop new bus models for The Bus.
However, developing such a vehicle is an extensive process and therefore takes time.
Several bus models are already in development. These include vehicles that are currently in service in Hamburg or have operated there in the past.
More information will follow at a later date.
Future bus DLCs are planned for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
For selected bus models, we would also like to offer suitable Hamburg repaints.
One example is the new Ebus 2.2. Although the real vehicle is not part of Hamburg’s bus fleet, the Hamburger Hochbahn repaint allows it to fit in perfectly on the Hamburg map.
It is important to note that maps and buses will continue to remain separate content.
The respective vehicles will be released as standalone DLCs and are not included in The Bus DLC – Hamburg City.

Why can’t I select a Hamburg repaint for the Ebus 2.2 directly?

PC players who have purchased the Ebus 2.2 separately can already download a Hamburg repaint via the Steam Workshop.
With an upcoming update for all platforms, the repaint will be integrated directly into the game.
It can then be easily selected via the bus configuration.
This update is planned for all platforms.

Why isn’t the Hamburg map available immediately after purchasing it on console?

The console version of The Bus requires at least version 1.2 to use DLCs.
Together with the main game update, this may require a larger amount of data to be downloaded and installed. Depending on your internet connection, this process may take some time.
You can check the current download and installation progress in your console dashboard.
If Hamburg City is not yet available after purchase, please wait until all downloads and installations have been fully completed.
